Day 1: 30-Minute Vocabulary Day

I hope youโ€™re labas and ready for Day 1 of our 30-minute Algerian Arabic routine.

Today is:

Vocabulary Day ๐ŸŽ‰

And donโ€™t worry, weโ€™re keeping it simple and doable.

Letโ€™s take the example of a Family Vocabulary lesson.

Step 1: Watch the video โ€” 10 minutes

Start with the video first.

Why?

Because the video warms you up.
You hear the words.
You catch the pronunciation.
And the vocabulary feels more alive, not just words on a page.

Since my videos are usually short, around 5 minutes, I recommend watching the video twice.

The first time: just listen and follow.
The second time: repeat after me.

Step 2: Read the lesson โ€” 10 minutes

After the video, go to the lesson on my website and read it slowly.

This helps you focus more and maybe notice details or examples you missed in the video.

And please, donโ€™t read silently only.

Read the examples out loud.

This is also pronunciation practice.
And it trains your mouth to get used to Algerian Arabic words.

Step 3: Use the words โ€” 10 minutes

Now this is the most important part.

Donโ€™t just โ€œlearnโ€ the words.
Use them.

Start simple:

Level 1: Take my examples and change only a few words.
Level 2: Create your own simple examples with the new vocabulary.

Then read your sentences out loud.

And one more little challenge for today:

Try to use at least one word from the lesson during your day.

Because this is how vocabulary starts moving from:

โ€œI know this word.โ€
to
โ€œI can use this word.โ€

And thatโ€™s exactly what we want.

So tell me, what vocabulary topic are you choosing for today? ๐Ÿ˜Š
