Day 2: 30-Minute Grammar Day

I hope you’re labas and ready for Day 2 of our 30-minute Algerian Arabic routine.

Today is:

Grammar Day

I know, I know… grammar is not everyone’s favorite topic 😅
Many students don’t like memorizing rules, exceptions, and complicated explanations.

But don’t worry.

Today, we’re not going to study grammar in a scary way.

We’ll only focus on what really matters:

How to build simple sentences.

Yesterday, you learned words.
Today, grammar is like the rope that ties your words together so people can understand you.

Let’s take a very simple structure in the present tense:

Ana n’7ib qahwa
I love coffee.

Simple sentence.
Useful sentence.
And this is exactly where we start.

Step 1: Review the lesson — 10 minutes

Choose one grammar lesson, for example a lesson about the present tense.

Watch and read it slowly.

Don’t try to memorize everything.
Just understand the main idea.

Ask yourself:

What is the pattern here?

That’s all.

Step 2: Read the examples out loud — 10 minutes

Now focus on the examples.

Honestly, most grammar learning happens through examples, not through memorizing rules.

So read the examples slowly.
Repeat them.
Say them out loud.

This helps your brain notice the structure naturally.

And the more you repeat, the more the sentence starts to feel normal in your mouth.

Step 3: Create your own examples — 10 minutes

Now use the same structure and change the words.

For example:

Ana n’7ib qahwa
I love coffee.

Ana n’7ib couscous
I love couscous.

And if you know other verbs — and I’m sure you do — try to make new simple sentences with them too.

Then repeat everything out loud.

Simple? Yes.

But this is exactly how you build confidence.

Grammar becomes much easier when you see it inside real sentences, not as dry rules on their own.

Your little challenge for today

After your 30 minutes are done, don’t forget about what you learned.

Try to use one simple grammar structure during your day.

Even one sentence is enough.

Because the goal is not just:

“I studied grammar.”

The goal is:

“I can use this sentence.”

So tell me, what simple sentence are you going to create today? 😍
