Thursday /lekhmi:s/ لَخْمِيسْ

2- Week Days Division
The week in Algeria starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. In general, working days are Sunday through Thursday, and the weekend is Friday and Saturday. However, there are many institutions and companies start working from Saturday.
Because Algeria is a Muslim country, Friday, the sacred day, is a day off for eveyone. Almost everything is closed especially during Duhr prayer time; except hospitals.
