Day 5: 30-Minute Review Day
I’m so happy for you!
If you followed this little routine with me for 5 days — even imperfectly — that’s already a big win.
Because consistency is the real key to progress.
Today is:
Review Day 🇩🇿
And review day is the secret day.
This is where the magic happens.
Because if you learn something once and never come back to it, you will forget it.
And that’s completely normal.
So today, we’re going to help your brain keep what you learned this week.
Step 1: Review what you learned — 10 minutes
In this step, you don’t need to watch the videos again.
Just go back to the lessons on my website and read them slowly.
And if you took notes during the week, even better — go back to your notes.
Reading something a second time helps it settle better in your brain.
While reviewing, write down your favorites from this week:
favorite words
useful phrases
simple sentences
expressions you want to remember
Don’t write everything.
Just choose the ones that feel useful for you.
Step 2: Test your memory — 10 minutes
Now close the lesson or cover your notes.
Yes, close them 😄
Try to remember some of the words, phrases, and sentences without looking.
You can ask yourself:
What words do I remember from Vocabulary Day?
What sentence pattern did I practice on Grammar Day?
What expressions did I hear on Listening Day?
What sentences did I say on Speaking Day?
Then check your lesson or notes again.
This step is very powerful because your brain works harder when you try to remember first.
And that helps you remember better later.
Step 3: Create your mini speaking recap — 10 minutes
Now let’s turn the whole week into speaking.
Use what you learned and create 3 to 5 simple sentences about yourself or your life.
For example, let’s gather the lessons we mentioned this week:
Family vocabulary
Present simple
Express your feelings
You can create sentences like:
Baba y’7ib football.
My father loves football.
Jiddati m’rida lyoum.
My grandma is ill today.
Ana n’zour jiddati.
I visit my grandma.
See?
Very simple.
Very short.
But very useful.
Keep it simple because short sentences are perfect at this stage.
Then read your sentences out loud 2 or 3 times.
Your little challenge for today
Choose one sentence from your mini recap and try to use it today.
Say it to someone.
Send it in a message.
Or just say it out loud to yourself.
Because the goal of review is not just to remember.
The goal is to make what you learned easier to use next time.
So tell me, what was your favorite thing you learned this week? 😊
